Thistles

I had the pleasure of dealing with thistles over the course of a couple of months while waiting for an Y. Diversipes to molt before shipping. During that period of time, if I didn't message Allison with concerns over one of my tarantulas. Then Allison would regularly message me to make sure I wasn't getting too impatient. I learned that Allison was a very kind, and caring person, and a delight to communicate with. I wish Allison the best of luck and success in all of her endeavors, and I look forward to doing business with her again.

Allison contacted me for some isopods and it ended in a trade. Everything from communication to the shipment itself went smoothly. I would not hesitate to purchase from her again and would definitely recommend her to anyone who is looking for some T's. Thank you for such a great trade,

I contacted Thistles about a post for P. ecclesiasticus slings that was posted on a separate forum - got back to me very quickly, and although the initial sale was quick she was kind enough to humor me with conversation.

Received tracking info Monday and Ts arrived this morning. Although I had purchased 2 slings, Thistles sent 3. Unfortunately one was a DOA - at absolutely NO fault of Thistles. Ts came packed like they were prepared for Armageddon and the DOA was in perfect physical condition with weather having been just fine for shipment. The cause of death is a complete mystery.

I told Thistles when they arrived, and she was fast to get back to me. We were both saddened by the death of the 3rd sling, and even though it was a freebie she offered to try and make up for it if and when I order again.

Spoiler alert; I will most definitely be ordering from her again!

If you get the chance to deal with her and you pass, you missed out!

I purchased a mature male Augacephalus breyeri from Thistles, she was great to work with. He showed up alive and very active. Packaging was great and she was very helpful with any questions I had! I would definitely do business with her again without question.

Please don't hesitate to deal with Thistles, the transaction went very smooth even communicating on multiple forums. Purchased a juvenile female E. pachypus that came in perfect, live and active. received two H. gabonensis slings as surprise freebies!

What an amazing job! I couldn't of asked for better. My package arrived on time and she sent me the tracking code like promised. Her communication and knowledge about the subject was outstanding. The packing was perfect and the T's themselves where even better! I would definelty buy here again!

This was my very first breeding loan and I must say this experience couldn't have been better. Very understanding, knowledgeable of species at hand and was very careful while attempting to mate. The event was even recorded per my request and my MM came back 100% unharmed and full of life! I would most definitely loan any tarantula to Thistles.

Thistles kept the lines of communication open every step of the way. Absolutely my first goto when I'm looking for 'just one more'
Puts the health of her animals first as proven by holding one back due to heavy premolt.
Also refunded $ when the shipping ended up less then quoted.
Thistles is 110% on every aspect.

I've known Thistles for years and was glad to have the chance to talk spiders and hobby again. This member has 100s of tarantulas, not including slings, and is a breeder par excellence. I just received a trio of MM African species: A. breyeri, C. sanderi, and H. guttata. What diversity! On top of that, she sent them out of generosity. Thistles is on top of her game and incredibly organized. Specimen quality, shipping, and communication--all top notch. One can't go wrong with Thistles. Do keep an eye out for her posts; there ought to be a way to mark them ***high quality***.

Got a 3.5" fem B. boehmei (a very pretty T after its molt) from Thistles who is very nice to deal with and did a great job with the package which was sent out immediately. She also kindly gave me a couple freebies of a species I had been looking to buy. Would certainly purchase from Thistles again.

Allison lent me a fresh bluefang just wanting to see him get some extra use (one pairing I'm grateful to finally have the opportunity to witness). I can also appreciate finding other collectors in the area especially one as knowledgeable and careing as Allison. Remember seeing her around the boards, contributing to just about anything and everything. I envy that a bit. I suppose when you have a hobby that's somewhat time consuming all on it's own- intending to mention observation etc vs an active member says plenty. And although I'll admit i haven't even the time to read anything from her it's obvious that you won't stumble upon any spam hearsay. Just wanted to thank you again.

have a double breeding loan going on with allison, sent her a P. murinus male to pair with her female and she has a B albo to be delivered tomorrow for my female.

my male was quite defective and got eaten for it, allison was incredibly apologetic and made many ridiculous offers to make it right. (obviously there is nothing to apologize for) and sent out the albo on monday, eagerly awaiting his arrival, maybe we will have better luck with the brachypelma.

This was a first, insofar as proverbially meeting and completing a transaction with Allison. This was one efficient and smooth transaction at that. A definite recommend!

I had missed out on a P. cambridgei juvie from an online dealer so I posted a wanted ad and Allison responded very quickly that she had a 3-4" juvie female. We saw that we were in the same area so local pickup would be possible, which was great!

We communicated back and forth over the next week or so and she was very patient as I was waiting for some finishing supplies for the enclosure I was making for the incoming P. cam. Met up and everything went smoothly! She also threw in a P. irminia sling for a super good price (she wanted to give it as a freebie but I insisted on at least paying something for it. )

Very cool person, knowledgeable, and easy to deal with. Will definitely be a repeat customer, I'm sure!

Sent out a MM C.darlingi to Thistles for a 50/50. C.darlingi hasent dropped, was offered P.irminia(and a few other species) to make up for C.darlingi not producing. Great communication, and would not hesitate to deal with again! Thank You!
