This was the first - and probably last - time I will be buying from spidershoppe. I don't mean to write this review in a hateful way but the way this situation was handled unprofessionally at best. The tarantulas were supposed to arrive on 2/13/2025 but we're held at the FedEx origin point for over 12 hours before I was notified that there was a mechanical delay on the shipment carrier. This much is out of Spidershoppe's control and I am aware of that. They, however, shipped the package out again the next day without any consent from me and pointed fingers at FedEx not allowing them to retrieve the package again? I acknowledge this is not 100% on Spidershoppe and a lot of this is owed to FedEx (in my opinion) being unreliable for live animal shipping, but it could have been handled better. In total, these tarantulas were in transit for over 50 hours. One of the three tarantulas is proving totally unresponsive despite me leaving it alone completely while providing it with water and some dead feed.
To end this off, let me make sure this does NOT come off as hate, defamation, or slander of Spidershoppe. I just feel like this situation could have been handled more professionally regardless of the conditions the tarantulas are in. (Which is not great)
