Oh no, how awful! I’ve only ever gotten a spider in the mail once. I just drive out to the expos and bring them home myself. I’m lucky to have a few different expos just a couple hours away. You really must get one though, and an ihrengi!
Objectively correct lol. My husband might disagree on the timing of such acquisitions (hah) but then again, I've had two of my current T's molt out as MM in the past few months so...space on the spider desk shall be forthcoming in the next year or so.
I do have a store nearby that carries a whole section of T's, which is where I got four of my current five (versi, two irminia, and Lava), so clearly they've got some good stuff. Have not made it to an expo yet but that's more for schedule reasons than anything else...already have a couple on my calendar and I'm sure there's plenty in reasonable driving range from Boston.

Being in, or in close proximity to, large cities is useful for access to lots of different spiders. There are 3 in the LA area.
