Looks like a female to me. Xenesthis (usually) have a very prominent triangle-shaped dark spot just anterior of the epigastric furrow that is hard to miss, even when they're relatively small. Here's a good example of what a male looks like (it says it turned out to be female, but then the OP never substantiates that with evidence, so I don't buy it):
