This is agatha. Agatha is being very brave today so i got a good picture. Agatha is a l. Parahybana about 9 months old at 2 1/2 to 3 inches. I got a molt off her just a week ago but saw no signs of lady parts so i assumed male. I was hoping posting here would help. I understand at this dtage agatha is still a bit too little to tell properly
Can't see anything useful in these pics, unfortunately. If you inspected a recent molt and there were no female parts, then you've got a male - no need to try to sex ventrally. At 2.5-3" DLS, the uterus externus and spermathecae would be easily identifiable:
This one was difficult at first, as the uterus externus hid the spermatheca, and the water made it hard to see the uterus. Flipped it with my tweezers and found the spermatheca. I revisited the molt after it'd dried, and the uterus was much...
Let me clarify. There was nothing obvious to me because up until yesterday i've struggled to find examples i can actually discern. Most photos dont show what i need to look for and it took til yesterday to finally come across a couple of videos made within the last two years. And this is my first spider. This molt was the only one big enough to see anything at all. Inside the molt, between the second book lungs i fount the vent and above it was a small, dark triangle. Along side the ends of the vent were two small obvious parts i thought were spermatheca. I could move them but they didnt seem to be an open flap as described. I saw SOMETHING and dont yet have the reffernce to tell what i saw.

The dark triangle likely indicates male: epiandrous fusillae (male reproductive organs) present as a dark patch, often triangular, just anterior of the vent. Males also have what are called accessory organs (more reproductive parts) that are often mistaken for spermathecae by newer keepers and experienced keepers alike - heck, I got fooled by them on one of my specimens a few months ago. If you still have the molt you could post pics of it in the molt sexing gallery and we should be able to provide a much more definitive answer.
