My A. Chalcodes molted for the first time in my care today. They molted out safe and healthy(so far), but looking unlike pictures of the male or female of the species. I was wondering if this is just natural variation, or if my T was labeled incorrectly?
Looks good! Molting darker is normal for chalcodes - if you search the Aphonopelma genus gallery and search the forums for "dark chalcodes" you'll see lots of results, like:
