I mean, to be fair, when she first saw it, it did have it's little feet tucked away under it for daytime stealth mode, so just MAYBE she thought the silhouette looked like some kind of shield bug or something similar (that's my educated guess). But a quick look to the side made those big beady eyes and the constantly moving little chin clear as day. To me, anyway.
