Viridasius sp. Madagascar

made a new enclosure for it today, it's around 4" legspan.

if anyone knows how to sex these guys pm me :)
Very nice. Any idea on the lifespan?
not really but i expect 1-2 years.

i got this specimen on may 13th/2021 so its been with me for 184 days.

I will ask amanda or martin from tarcan and see what they say, they've kept/bred these for a couple years i believe.

Thanks. Would love to learn more about them.

SO beautiful! It almost looks like a true spider version of a Poecilotheria. I'd love to get one of these someday but I can't seem to find any here in the US. I do wish that they lived longer, though.

so after chatting with Amanda i have some news for you.

She said that females can live up to 3 years if not mated, while males may only live up to 1 year.

she also said that my specimen is likely female as the pedipalps start to enlarge before maturity in the males!

I may write a guide on these guys if the demand is there.
