Maybe a male. Females look much nicer.

If it has wings it's a male, which also means it has no stinger, so it's not dangerous.

not a velvet ant, look up the local ant species in your area, my best guess is formica

This is definitely a mutillid, don't recall the species though.

Definitely Mutillidae.
