Looks workable.
With our 'forest' scorps, the big Heterometrus, you can pretty much make your tank to look any way you like the looks of. Give the scorp it's natural environment, thick leaf mold full of bugs and you're unlikely to ever see it again.
Probably the greatest threat to these tykes is fungus and invasive organisms, and each other, likely causing more deaths than all predators combined. This works out as Asia turns into a semi arid desert about 5 months out of the year. So keeping the terrarium on the dry side is a bonus.
Thanks Snark. I've done some research and it sounded like humidity was important. Do you recommend going 5 months out of the year on the arid side? What would that humidity be? Also, should I keep bugs in the tank for this critter? If so, which bugs? We hand feed worms right now. Should I keep some crickets in there for him to hunt? I was thinking about feeding worms one week and crickets the next intermixed with some dubia. Thanks for your feedback. Always open to opinions and criticism.
