Yup. I think the ‘legality’ of this species is way blown out of proportion. Everyone sells others Brazilian species that Brazil never allowed exportation of.
I don’t think they are at risk of being confiscated anymore than say a CB Ybyrapora diversipes. FWS still hasn’t put out an official statement. Places like Palp Friction are now selling across state lines again. So yeah I think the hobby has blown it out of proportion. But hey FWS can totally come explain to me why I can’t have seladonia but I can have Ybyrapora diversipes, Grammastola pulchra...and many others. They ALL were illegally exported from Brazil originally but now are captive bred in the states.
Thanks, just checked the site,(Palp Friction)and sure enough.Good luck with them.I guess there was a ruling on them in the last couple of months??.
Why cant the rules be changed for Sri Lankan pokies be changed then?.

Thank you! I’m super excited about them! They’ve all had a couple meals and started on their trapdoors!
I think the issue with Pokies is they are on the Endangered species act? I could be wrong. I don’t keep old worlds so I haven’t looked deep into it. But I believe that’s why. If T.seladonia was ever added to the ESA than interstate sales would be illegal.
I do hope the courts will eventually take a look at our outdated laws, that really don’t help the US hobbies (reptiles, animals, inverts) in self sustaining numbers of these species. Which then makes illegal collecting and smuggling more likely. It doesn’t make a whole lot of sense.
