Prior to there being a giant yellow slime ball in the middle of it (when there was just a plain white web mat), I initially thought "oh, she's just messing around near her water bowl". Then I remembered I haven't had the chance to put in a water bowl yet
@kevinlowl as @Arachnomaniac19 already said, they're eggs. I might post a picture later, once she's made a proper sac, but I just needed to share this picture, as I've never seen the process of how one's made
@spotropaicsav they were overeasy a few minutes after this picture, when she made a thin layer of web over the eggs. Now it's looking more hard boiled than anything
It's just coincidence that it looks like one giant egg. This picture doesn't show it well, but I do have a picture where you can just barely see the tiny circles of actual eggs inside the big blob. My guess is they must keep the eggs inside a liquid to keep them all together prior to wrapping up the egg sac. The liquid was attached to the mother as she was laying the eggs, and I was actually watching the eggs travel down the liquid from her to join to rest of the eggs in the blob. It was really neat
