Sicarius terrosus feeding on dubia nymph

A 3/4" specimen, feeding him/her for the first time! Amanda at Tarantula Canada informed me that these species only need eat once or twice a month. Neglect is the key for them to flourish! Truly remarkable behaviour it dug a hole which it then ate the dubia over.
@TownesVanZandt Thanks! Yep it was a difficult decision to make and I had to ask Amanda at Tarantula Canada about the species before I was able to commit. You should've seen my hands [shake] after I transferred him/her out of that vial (Canada Post is going on strike soon/or is I believe) so god knows what the little thing went through to get from Laval, Quebec to my home in Southern Ontario!
