Awww lots of baby's congratulations again lol...... by any chance do you know anything about breeding sericopelma? Specifically the sp Darien? Been asking all over ab been through every breeding report in the folder and no one seems to know how long it can take them to drop a sac. I got my af 9 months ago, she's never moulted for me n dropped a sac last week . I assumed after 9 months it would be a dud but it still took me down a rabbit hole trying to get info on breeding them. So just incase you do I am asking you seem to do extremely well with breeding t's so worth a shot
Ahhh...well there is no answer to your question. Tarantulas dont have gestation periods like mammals do, and after breeding any t can drop a sac later that week, or a year or more after provided they dont molt....or anything inbetween.

If it hasn't molted, and was bred, I would certainly assume the sac was good....there would be no reason at all to expect it to be a dud.

I have no idea if she'd been paired in the past, I did message the shop she came from but they said she came from a privet supplier so they have no history on her. They did say they had contacted the seller but hadn't had a reply but if they got one they would let me know. I am treating it like a fertile sac just incase and it looks good bright white and very full.
She never sealed her burrow to make the sac so my plan is once a week when I do her water to quickly peek down the burrow it's a straight shot so i dont have to disturb her or her hide in any way to see, but apart from that leaving her alone.
I thought she was getting ready to moult lol but am really excited she laid a sac instead, best surprise this year lol. Thanks again for explaining it to me cold blood it's much appreciated
when a t drops a sac, its wise to remove the water dish....females have a tendency to dunk the sac and kill it inadvertently. Just keep the substrate nice and damp.
