Possible Venator sp. (Sunburst)

One of my first 3 wolf spiders from @Dabugboi . Absolutely incredible colouration.
Wow, what a cool species! Knowing what the scientific name means (it is very fitting) makes it even cooler.

Thanks for sharing,

Well im unsure what it means so feel free to enlighten me lol.

I have 2 others with not-so-vibrant colours but they are still very pretty and 1 in particular is very hunger driven. Tasmanicosa ramosa and Hoggicosa Bicolour are the 2 wolfs i have the greatest interest in

Venator="hunter". I discovered this while researching Harpegnathos venator.

Google Translate works well with translating Latin-based scientific names.

Thanks,

Arthroverts

This is quite a yellow one, from sandplain habitat. the ones that live in clay pan habitat are more blue on the legs but don't have much yellow. and yes Venator means hunter
