It's at least 3,5" now. I've had it for around 9 months. It was 2" when I got it and has moulted 2x. I'd say the growth rate is pretty quick. It definitely put a lot of size on with the latest. I haven't seen it' underneath to vent sex, and haven't got around to moult sex it either. I have a stack of moults I'm planning on trying to sex. I'm so lazy! Thing is, I have to be in the right frame of mind to try otherwise I end up accidentally tearing the crucial region.
It burrowed and I never saw it until about 3 months ago but now it's out all the time.
It's always had a great feeding response but doesn't seem skittish at all since it's been confident enough to stay up top.
I bought it just to have a member of the genus, with no real plans to get more. But I would love more Phormictopus spp. now.
