P. irminia 3.5"

Psalmopoeus irminia about 3.5" DLS, just acquired so not sure when her last molt was or next will be... Hoping to get some level of confirmation she does indeed look like a female.
Oof. I guess we'll keep an eye out for that molt and try to snag the exuviae...was sold as female :anxious:
Thanks for the input!

That little dimple looking thing in the middle of the furrow is something you see on males most often, but hopefully the seller sexed it with the molt and we're wrong!

It's a local store, so worst case I could go back with a molt and talk to someone in person. Not that I even priced out what's reasonable to begin with..."she" was pretty, I brought her home. Still pretty for now 😊

Update for reference: she's closer to 4" than 3.5", and has now laid an egg sac so uh, there we are. Same specimen as this post:

Likely infertile, but as we can see - I've been wrong before! Lol. Good luck!

Hah thanks! And yes, I knew when I posted this photo that vent sexing is only marginally more reliable than a coin flip.

At least I know I'll have her for a while yet!
