Could be, but not if it doesnt have/nor develop a mirror like patch of urticating hairs on the top centre of the abdomen. I'd also suggest could be something like Acanthoscurria geniculata, but too small to tell yet. Did it come with any name?
It didnt. I got it from a friend. I think it has a patch like that but I'm not completely sure. I think I'll post more pics once it grows more. Thx for the info btw!

Yep, looks like a Gold knee. I have a 4" male. He is the most docile tarantula in my opinion. I have to poke him 10 times for him to move a cm, always slow and calm and he never shows any signs of aggression. He's awesome
i'm pleased to hear that. it is very docile most of the time and that is ok with me. the only thing is, it seems to be growing rather slowly... i hope that's normal. thx for the replies btw
