My poor little P.Metallica... Had a really bad molt 3 days ago.

Luckily, it's young and doing fine now. Not one, but two legs... Gone. Very sad. They have such beautiful legs. Thank you for spider first aid kits and the hardy nature of these creatures we sometimes don't give them proper credit for.
Well the legs should grow back with a few molts....but do you have him set up in a terrestrial set up? or arboreal? It looks terrestrial from the pic.

@lunarae it does but no. She's (suspect female) in an arboreal setup. I took the top off to get a better look. She's in the biggest AMAC until she's about 4in or so. Then she'll get rehoused again. This is from about 5-6 hrs after she molted. She's back up on the walls of her enclosure now. Just in the corner leaning towards the side without the legs so the angle supports her.

No wonder her molt've gone so bad, why so dry? Substrate must be wet to keep high humidity, as all arboreal species need it to molt good. Some can even die in molt if there is not wet enough. Be more careful with it next time.

@Cloud Chaser
I disagree, you dont want the substrate "wet" for humidity. With proper cross ventilation, a water dish always full and slightly damp sub provides plenty of humidity. I also allow the sub to fully dry before dampening slightly.

Wet sub as you suggest can cause stuffy enclosures quickly without proper ventilation and also can allow mold/fungus to grow.

It is dry, if you look at the outside of the Gatorade cap water dish, that'll kinda give you an idea of how wet it was before I grabbed some extra sub out of my A. Hentzi's enclosure to add some more. You can even see some of her webbing in the coco fibers. I don't soak it, but usually this AMAC is small enough for the water dish to do a pretty decent job but I let it set to avoid mold buildup to see how much water from the bottom layer would soak up.

@Cloud Chaser lol... Yeah I've got several adults that have never had a problem. It just happens sometimes. First time it's happened so I thought I'd share. Don't need advice on humidity. I live in Houston. I know alllll about it, and how to emulate it for the T's that need a little extra. By a few I mean like 35 adults. My brothers house has my other 30 or so.
