I've still got a lot more to learn and was looking for the dark patch just above the Epiandrous fusillae, which I couldn't see but assumed it was just washed out as this specimen seems to be getting close to molting. Please let me know if my approach was incorrect. Again, really appreciate the help!
its simpler than that....when looking at the epigastic furrow, in males you see a line basically, in females it is much more open, almost like lips if you see a large OW (no hairs make OWs much easier to see and vent sex).
This is an adult pokie, and you can see what I am talking about in the stark difference you see in the furrow.
New worlds are trickier to vent sex as they have rows of setae pretty much blocking the angle you need....so take any vent sexing with such species with a grain of salt....consider them more of an educated guess than a stone cold fact......
