Bad tarantula mum but I am not sure who this is, I keep thinking it’s kahlenbergi? She’s a big girl. I can’t remember ever buying an anax. What do you think?
Did you get any other tliltocatl? I'd be expecting more red at that size but maybe she's late in the molt cycle. Had it any sort of remnants of a dark triangle on the carapace id lean T verdezi if I had to match the coloring. You could have some more Aphonopelma sp at your fingertips as well, can't rule that out. What are our other choices?

i do remember buying a kahlenbergi, well it was sold as that..but can’t remember if I bought an anax. So I kind of suspect this was the one that what was sold as kahlenbergi… IF that was indeed correct so just wondered what was the Opinion. Might try and get another photo tomorrow. 😊

I am leaning towards an Aphonopelma sp. (some Aphonopelma are very good Brachypelma* mimics). I dont think a Tiltocatl khalenbergi (not if mine are anything to go by and I have bred them). As others have said, at a cursory glance, the abdomen hairs would be much redder with Khalenbergi and the carapace is not typically as uniform in copper colour as yours appears to be.

Aphonopelma sp. tend to have significantly larger chelicerae in proportion to their size than a lot of other species and some also have a pronounced and raised caput (the triangle area around the eyes pointing and leading to the "hollow" in the centre of the carapace.

There are hints of albiceps to her but the carapace colour is not as bright as normally would be for albiceps. A very well known on line seller in the UK were selling Tiltocatl sp. Oaxaca, which, when looking at their reference photos, has a similar look but they were slings and about 12 months ago so can't be one of them. I have a few and they are nowhere near that size or colour stage of your photo.

Best advice, wait for her to moult and then get a clear pic of the spermathecae and use that as a cross reference against probably A. Anax (and T khalenbergi).

*and some Tiltocatl since reclassification from Brachypelma

Hi all, i got a few extra pics in the hope it might help😊 will try and add them now.
Very interesting and fascinating comments so I am really grateful. Will try and get a molt but she doesnt do that much now.
