Dang yea i was letting their sexual dimorphic nature fool me. When i snagged it at a show, i wasnt aware of when the males start to show the olive green coloring and since it was already getting really purple/blue i was banking on female lol. Got angood deal reguardless and it looks like i will have a MM one of these days in the future for a breeding project lol.
@Abyss Yes, that's what I looked at. He is very pretty purple! I've raised 2 males before, and I don't remember them being so purple, but it was a few years ago. The dot with the darker ring around it as well as the sort of rectangular shape make me think male. A female would look more triangular and lippy without the dot or dark ring.

Hes a solid 3" i would guess close to 4 an still deep purple all over. I was really thinking female due to the dimorphisim but this is the first time he showed me his "belly".
Im bummed of course but i think i have a hot date lined up already haha
