I have a 4 inch Chaco and the last molt it gave me wasn't very good and I don't know how to sex a tarantula using the ventral method. Can anybody help?
@CEOAirsoft, very certain as there is no indication of epiandrous fusillae(dark triangular patch of setae above the vent) that pretty visible on this sp's along with a break in the furrow. The gonoslit(female) is visible on your specimen.
Examining spermathcae via exuviae is always going to give you a more accurate result. But with this photo, you can see that the line between the booklung here is almost open like a mouth. It looks almost like lips. This indicates towards female.
