Got is as a gift, please help me ID

it looks a lot like Avicularia. sp. Colombia or a Avicularia. sp.Ecuador but its hard to see when they ar so smale

I think it is probably an Avicularia purpurea. A nice gift indeed!

I think foxthelviola might bee right,and think the Avicularia. sp. Colombia or a Avicularia. sp.Ecuador is hard too get in us and canada,so i might just bee Avicularia purpurea ;-)

That is A. purpurea. Young ones have white dashes like that on the abdomen. They are very sensitive, keep the enclosure well ventilated.
