These are great hunters, and surprisingly fast too. They race down to the fallen prey and just go ham enveloping it in silk. Used to find and feed these a lot as a kid too.
@Ungoliant I've been doing a few research, this is definitely the nearest looking spider of Araneus Diadematus. I wish I could find an Argiope Bruennichi, they are pretty common over here but they are definately massive and beautiful spiders.
