Smithi? I'm not great with Brachypelma, this is the first one I've had, B. boehmei from Fear Not. 1.25-1.5" maybe. Can't add a pic I guess, but already the leg segments are a solid color with no fade... and there's no black triangle.
Most likely Hamori, the carapace can not change significantly after several moults. Unfortunately, a hybrid can never be ruled out unless you know the breeder better.
No smithi... Too much white...

Bought at the local pet store - they didn’t give me any information, and they sold it as a Boehmei, and as a beginner I had no idea. Hybrid between what? Are hybrids no good? As you said “unfortunately”

Hybrids are a big problem if you want to breed. If not, you have a nice pet and no problem. I can´t see any signs for a hybrid, just said "can´t be ruled out". I also can´t rule out boehmei, but I can say mine looked different (more organe on the legs) at this size.
Don´t breed and have fun with this beauty.
I’ve owned both and emilia, though others have seen more of these 2 species than me. I’ve never seen either with a triangle. In fact the most well known Brachy kept in the hobby with a black triangle is emilia
I fear you have a hybrid. Fear meaning NEVER EVER BREED IT!
Boehmei just don’t look like that at all, no triangle and solid red on legs.
