Doesn't have to be... This might be a good specimen for you to experiment with different feeding regimens to see how it impacts molt cycles. I'm not saying to starve him, but unless you really need a mature male soon, you can space out feedings and offer smaller prey items and keep him a few degrees cooler to slow his maturation down. Just a thought, but it is something helpful to know if you are interested in breeding in the future.
