Grammostola sp. Formosa Juvenile Female - 2.5"
stunning... do people even sell these guys anymore? I remember reading a story about them somewhere here maybe?

@u bada This was a surprise and I paid a lot for her. She was unsexed, but has turned out to be female... luckily. I have a bit of an unhealthy obsession with having all the jet black Grammostola species that I can.
There is a lot of controversy surrounding the pure black Grammostola - pulchra, grossa, sp. Formosa, quirogai, and anthracina - and the taxonomy papers describing them. Since poor/old/incomplete holotypes were used, along with basically just a written description, there is a question regarding which species is really which. It is discussed on and off on this forum.
