Woke up to find that one of my c. exilicauda had become a mom overnight! I removed her from the communal cage and she's now settling into her new cage with her babies. <3
@Ciri they can, but this species is very communal. Mom was extremely aggressive and protective. They sit on her back and soak up protein, then get off after first molt. That's when there's danger of cannibalism, but usually happens if not enough food is available (from what I've read).
