Strange I actually came off my unicycle to avoid squishing one of these about an hour ago. It was a close call.

While I think the other photo you posted is of a Trachea pacificus, I think this one is actually a Dysdera crocata. They've become a favorite of mine after coming across a gravid female last year with an attitude like an old world T

@PidderPeets this one is for sure a woodlouse hunter, the other was mistakenly identified by myself in the field and corrected by @Ungoliant

@REEFSPIDER Yep, a woodlouse hunter for sure. Once you know to look for huge, protruding jaws that jut forward, they're unmistakable.
