5 years old. Brachypelma Hamorii (ex-smithi) or Smithi (ex-annitha)?
I think it is "Hamorii" ... but it would be nice if someone would confirm this species. Thanks.
I believe it’s B. hamorii; I think the present B. smithi has more beige/orange coloring on the carapace. @Exoskeleton Invertebrates has a thread showing the differences between them that you can find by searching thread titles for “Brachypelma hamorri smithi”
@EdwardTyndall There's too much variation in carapace colouration between specimens of both species for that to be used for a reliable ID. Leg markings along with the presence or absence of cheliceral banding are much more accurate.
@The Grym Reaper maybe so but i know for a fact no B. smithi has black on the patella i have 5 hamorii all look like the one pictured here a few of my friends have smithi all have bright orange patella and lighter carapace
