Magnified with binocular dissecting microscope. Two small circles are slit sensilla for locating epigastric furrow region. Circled is a visible uterus externis. Female.

Specimen was spread after soaking in mild, dilute dish soap. Detail became clearer after drying.
Left slit sensilla is on lower left portion of circle. I annotated on the phone, thus the crude circles.
 
Wow this is really nice. It makes me want to save my Avic molts now. I've always waited till they were about 3-4". I think I will try when smaller now. Granted I only have a digital scope.
 
Yes. Don't throw them out if you can't see clearly at first. I thought I could see the uterus externus, but when it dried it really popped out.
 
@Siderum Thanks for that tip! I have been imaging exoskeleton's that were wet more or less. They reflect too much light at times. However it didn't occur to me to let them dry. I was concerned they would get hard again, and crack up.
