@Mexican Redknee Ah, gotcha. I mean, at least vermiculite is better than what I see my LPS having Ts on - until someone bought the poor thing, they had a supposed H. lividum housed on sand.
@Arachnophoric in the 80s i kept all my Redknees on sand. The hobby was small and not a lot around for knowledge. They all did well (they like it dry anyways) I even had a couple on fish gravel.... These days you would get skinned alive in these forum's.
@Mexican Redknee That's the cool thing about this hobby; it's a learning experience, and we're constantly finding out more about these creatures and better ways to take care of them. I'd never crucify someone for not having it right when the information wasn't readily available, although these days it'd just be negligent since all the info you could need is just at your fingertips.
It's weird how hobbyists seem to pick up and adopt better methods, while pet stores cling to old and outdated husbandry.
