Got a sling earlier this year and amazed how much it webs. Crazy how they fit and maneuver through these things... Yours made a pretty amazing hammock.
Any tips on feeding Caribena Slings ... 1 to 1,5 cm ? The seller recommended 2 mini crickets +- 3mm once a week ... but theyre seeming rather active ( possibly hunting behaviour ? ) so I'm tempted to feed more ..
Also ... crickets have grown and are 3\4 sling size. Not sure if I should squish them and get smaller ?
One sling came in thickly webbed film container, which I left in new large container and it still uses it ... Just one little Hammok in larger container .. Don't want him to use up too much energy till hes big and strong !
@Rabid Mouse I feed my 1" slings two 1/3"-1/2" crickets every week. If your slings seem interesting in eating, keep putting food in and see if it eats. Most hobbyists recommend using feeders the size of the sling's abdomen but I have noticed that versicolors will take down crickets almost their body size. For those crickets you might be worried are too large, try pre-killing one and putting it in the sling's container. A lot of times versis will scavenge off dead prey.
@Rabid Mouse yeah I usually stick to 2 crickets per week with mine, but now it's warmer he/she's so active and has been taking 3 per week with gusto (sometimes 4 shhh). others here have said slings you can feed as often as you can as in the wild they need to get beyond he small delicate side as fast as possible to survive.
