Pumpkin patch large female

First time seeing her full size since she turned into a trap door spider lol
@BCspiderman7 I'm not sure. From what I have read a mirror patch is a set of urticating hairs that reflect light differently than the other hairs around it. I've seen people claim it helps serve as a warning indicator to preditors like some bright colors do or that it's just the way the hairs lay. I've not seen either of those confirmed anywhere I would call a definitive source though. Mirror patches are found on a lot of NW tarantula species and comes in several shapes depending on the species. I think of it like the swirl most people have on the top back part of their scalp that gives people a natural cow lick when you cut you hair short.

Sorry I'm at work and was trying to be quick before clocking in. Couldn't remember how to spell Hapalopus to save my life so did the No No of the common name. My bad.

I have 2 of these, the other is still sling, but I've never been threat posed that I can recall. Both take down prey quickly and the only time a meal is refused is during premolt. Definitely recommend getting these for anyone :) I'm hoping my smaller one turns male so I can breed these.
