@Socfroggy Yes there is water in their enclosure and if leeches have fed from people with bloodborne diseases you could get them if you feed the yourself, but if you buy them from a reliable source they should be safe mine have only fed on cow and pig blood before I got them. A container a with a width and height as long as the leech is probably a good rule to go by, a bigger container for mare leeches, try to provide some hiding spots. Thawed and warmed frozen blood Is fine but they are supposed to grow faster on fresh blood, you can get it from a butcher shop as long as no blood thinners have been added they also feed on coagulated blood. If you don't want to deal with blood there are species of leeches that eat other invertebrates/scavenge.
