@Chris LXXIX it is. I've been having a bit of trouble with that. Probably why she was so thirsty, besides the obvious molt. I mist the enclosure a few times a week, but I'll add some moss to help with the humidity as well.
@Chris LXXIX I also live in east Tennessee, and it's usually pretty humid here so I also keep mine on the dryer side. Seems to be striving, but I do agree, maybe just a tad more moisture wouldn't hurt. I like to keep half the enclosure damp till it dries out, then re-wet.
@Gman32176 Dig a couple little holes into the sub, and then pour water directly into those instead of misting. Cover them back up afterwards, then maybe sprinkle some on top of that.
Misting a tarantula cage to up humidity is like feeding a adult Theraphosa pinheads, useless. pouring water on the Sub and overflowing the dish is far superior.
@Venom1080 Yea, I'm aware. I even think about it when I do it, yet I still continue..
It's been more for the droplets on the side at this point than it has overall humidity.
