That is the problem it is not so tall to justify a deadly fall...And is the second one that dies the same way...Heat,humidity,food everything perfect...I had them since the third molt and they are wc I don't know if that plays a role...
@Dora ahhhh.....Now that makes a difference. Were they eating in captivity? How long have you had them? Also, tarantulas that are WC could possibly have pests inside them (they look like worms) or any other number of diseases that tarantulas may carry. From the way her abdomen looks in the pic that may be what those "cyst" looking things are......Or they could just be "cysts".
@Casey K I have them from April I think they were really tiny, third molt....Two died due to bad molts and the others grew normally I feed them crickets,mealworms...They looked absolutely fine and the other day died....One month in between two loses
@Dora poor babies. Such a beautiful species to keep. I've had issues with captive bred babies. One female at 2.5". She molted out fine and then just "died". I'm uncertain, myself, as far as what caused it.
@Casey K I understand absolutely this is very sad...I have raised so many babies with great success but at this particular species I am very dissapointed I had ten and now only four left...They died like flies...
