A number of these little guys live around my house. Location is in Mohave County Arizona. It is some type of wolf spider although information is conflicting as to what kind. Looks most like the Hogna Carolinensis. What do you think?
Just checked on my Hogna lenta and the spider on your picture looks extremely similar from the front. Can you catch one and get a picture from the top as that's the best way to tell imo. I can see the meme potential with this picture xD. So many possibilities.
lol, I will try to catch more pictures of them over time. I have been watching them for weeks now though and it seems they are more a night time critter and today was the first time one has ever been this close to the entrance during the day. Its really windy though today i think it disturbed his door way and he came out to check it out. Just happen to notice him and grabbed the camera. I got a few other shots of him ill edit down and upload.
