Lady Death

Latrodectus mactans wrapping up a camel cricket. (re-uploaded, other pic was too warm)
I've got a couple of lovely western widows and a whole passle of their adorable white (!) slings. Love watching the wee ones share (or not) their fruitflies among one-another.

@Dovey
Mines dropped two egg sacs since I got her, but I wasn't comfortable with hundreds of widows hatching out haha, not yet anyways :D

They are way too small to bite. It's mama you've got to look out for!

They are very accommodating that way, though. Usually upon capture and feeding, the first thing they do is spin eggsacs.

Lol! I love my scorpions and my tarantulas, and most true spiders, but widows just are on my naughty list. :p We have them everywhere around here and they give me the creeps. Their red markings are beautiful though, so I can see why some would want them in a collection. :D

@Dovey Ya wasn't worried much about the biting part lol, I just wouldn't know what to do with them all. I cut open both sacs before disposing of them, and they were both full to the brim. And yes mama doesn't play games haha, shes actually really aggressive and territorial. She chases after my tongs, and starts webbing them up every time I try do maintenance, I enjoy it though :D.
