Me and my boyfriend went out hunting and found this little guy under a rock. I am pretty sure it is a tiny tarantula sling (its smaller than 1/4") and 4 out of 5 people in my house also think its a tarantula, but one person think its a little jumping spider. Opinions?
@louise f
That's such a cute little spider
The little one I found looks almost exacly like the 3 other tarantula slings too, so i was pretty sure it was a tarantula when i saw it. But my dad swore it was "too small" and looked like a little jumping spider he saw the other day. He doesnt know much about spiders. Lol
My vote is tarantula as well. Mostly because of the over all shape of it, but also the abdomen, that black patch (Looks like where the uriticating hairs would be) seems pretty common with all my various T sling species right now. Man I wish that there was a species native to Montana. I really do. I'd love to have one from around here.
It's certainly pretty awesome right now here in AZ, with all the chalcodes boys out trick or treating for girls - there's ALWAYS at least one or two out on the porch each night.
