Did you remove the eggs from the colony? I have never bred crickets, so I'm asking mostly out of curiosity, though it does seem more than feasible that the eggs would get eaten by adults.

Yes I did, I left it in for about 5 days so they lay eggs then moved it to an incubator so I can control the tempature until they hatch. This is my first time breeding them.
Yup. Don't think an incubator is needed considering these buggers hatched in a variety of my t enclosures. But seperation is good because adults will eat the babies.

I know I probably dont need the incubator, but I'm trying to get them to hatch faster. I heard that they hatch faster kept at higher tempatures with better humidity.
I would agree because they remained in a arid enclosure I have for a great while before I got the substrate somewhat damp by overflowing the water dish and they were hatched the next day. Warmth is inevitable here. But the humidity played a big part also.
