Colorado Moth ID

I'm no Lepidoptera expert, but I'm going to tell you that it doesn't really matter what species it is. It's another small brown grain-feeding triangle that makes up most of Lepidoptera. You can try posting it on bugguide.net if you really want to know what it is and no one here gives you a good answer.

Also, I see you've made the journey to Colorado. I'm up in the mountains on a collection trip myself this weekend actually. How's the weather down South?

Don't know the species but we get them bad here in the springs as well. They migrate from the east to the mountains every year. Though they seem to be late this year.

Edit: they are called miller moths.

Wolfden, I think you got it! It may be a type of Miller Moth, as it does not seem to be feeding on any grain based foods, cloth or animal products (leather, feathers, etc.). Thank you for identifying it! My parents and I have never seen them before, are you seeing many this year?
Tenevanica, it does not seem to be grain-feeding, no evidence has been found to prove that it is. I think Wolfden figured it out! Sadly, I am not in Colorado this year, my parents sent me the photos. I hope I can get over there before July is over! The weather in GA is hot . . . too hot! I long for Colorado, I miss it. lol

I have not seen many where I am at and that may be because our Temps have been so off here. Usually we see them bad in mid may when they start migrating. Cripple creek could be seeing them bad because of the cooler temps.

I wanted to thank you Wolfden, for IDing this moth. It did seem to be a species of Miller Moth. They weren't eating anything in my parents house, just finding a nice place to hide, and are now gone.

@Arco you are welcome. Yeah when they are here they are usually trying to avoid the swallow tails which come out in force to eat them.
