I'm almost certain that's an araneus diadematus also known as the cross orbweaver. I've kept some females as pets over the years before I got into old world T's, they make awesome pets despite being a seasonal species; at least here in Ontario. I love those massive geometrical webs they make, they also seem to have a never-ending appetite even as little spiderlings.
