I am a newbie and would like to keep it. I live in southeast Texas and am courious as to what kind of tarantula it is and if I should attemp to keep it or let it go?
It is a trapdoor spider, although exactly what kind, dont know. If you want to keep it, give it at least 6 inches of substrate so that it can burrow and create its door.
