Not sure of species or sex. I'm guessing its a common of the 3 found in Colorado. From the few days I've been reading, its probably never going to be an exact species given.
It's an Aphonopelma sp., not sure of which, as there are anywhere from 3 to 5 species of Aphonopelmas in CO, depending on which taxonomist providing the information, lol. The most common is A. hentzi, and indeed, this looks a lot like my A. hentzi, so I'm going to say that's a distinct possibility. I don't see any tibial hooks, so this appears to be a female.
