The only true way is through a molt, like skippy said " to be 100% sure. Another way is through its pedipalps. If their are hooks on them then its male. Also, males have longer pedipalps than females, but remember as well that females are bigger than males, and pedipalps are shorter.
Have to correct on this. No palpal bulbs or tibial hooks in immature specimens. Male Ts only receive their bulbous pedipalps and tibial hooks AFTER their ultimate molt (the one in which they mature).
