I'm new to the whole sexing thing and I really want to know what this is. Hasn't molted since I've had it so this is all I've got to go by.. any educated guess would be appreciated !
This ones about 7 inch or more as well. I bought her at the size she is from the back water reptiles website and she's never been too nice. Always flicking hairs and running into her hide. I'd like to get a smaller one and raise it up and get it used to me and being handled you know. Kinda hard to come buy I guess though. Gotta love her anyway!
Oh yeah you gotta love them. How was ordering from backwater I wanted to try them out. I want the jumbo size lol. I got my little on from Kenny The Bug Guy as 3/4 in sling Feb 20 and she's already 3-4 inches and my 7 inch I got at a show about a 1 month and a half ago.
Yeah I probably wouldn't order from them again just because of the 40 dollar shipping BUT she was packaged well and I think the money spent was worth it. I got it next day and she was in a plastic container with wet moss and temp was moderate. I hear of lots of people not liking or want to order from them though like the other commenter said. Better read they're reviews. However that's the only place I could find a t stirmi online that had them in stock and without going to an individual breeder and I think they actually had it labeled as a t blondi which is what I was looking for to begin with and got what I've determined to be a t stirmi.
Mine was packed that way too. IT IS ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY THE WRONG WAY TO PACK TARANTULAS. I ordered a female T apophysis, a male arrived with a ruptured abdomen from being loosely packed in spanghum moss. It must have been a roller coaster ride for that poor T. After forking over another $39.99 for re-shipping I get another male and turned out to be a T stirmi
I guess I hadn't thought about that. I can't remember now but I don't think mind had too much wiggle room. With the moss and T it was pretty tight in the container. Probably not the best packing job.
