Poecilotheria what now?

Was labeled Poecilotheria bara. I've noticed there is some debate as to that name. I thought it was gorgeous but the seller called it horribly ugly so I knew I had to have it.
Poecilotheria bara is the Ivory Lowland Ornamental and is my favorite Pokie! The highland form is Poecilotheria subfusca. There's constant debate about whether they should be synonymous or if they are indeed two separate species. I don't have an opinion, and I don't know what's "official" right now. I do know that you have a lovely specimen that appears to be a highland female. Lowlands have a lot of darker creams and blacks highlighted by a lot of purple and highlands are a lighter color overall. Also, the carapace of highlands is more "furry" while lowlands have less hair there.
The biggest debate is that they're from different altitudes and may or may not have evolved differently enough to be called two different species. I think. More information can be found on this website using the search feature. Good luck!

Officially there is no such spider as P.bara. It was synonymised with P.subfusca
P. bara Chamberlin, 1917 = P. subfusca Pocock, 1895 (Kirk, 1996: 21)
