Madagascar mygalomorph

Madagascar mygalomorph

found around Analalava, Madagascar. A local who I regularly herped with said it was dangerous, calling it a "Zebu killer."
It was very small... maybe an inch and a half... and I saw two. I was there in May, winter for the area. I'd love to get an ID on it!

Id love to see more pics from your trip, there is a field forum on this site that would be a great place to share some pics from your trip ;)

I will do that. I do not have a lot of spider pictures... honestly I had to consciously NOT photograph plants or inverts because I would have been absorbed in my camera vs. absorbed in Madagascar... and I am glad I didn't! One of my SD cards crashed MID picture halfway through the trip...

if anyone knows any one who might be able to identify or knows African/South East African arachnids well - send em my way!

Thanks for your comments.

Man, I definitely need to go to Madagascar! I would be so excited to see the flora and fauna there. I'd probably be invert hunting most of the time. This spider is blue-white and black! I can't even imagine what other crazy things are on those islands! Just look at Monocentropus balfouri!

I'll say, I was only in the North East but I did not see many T's... I think that might be the only one I ever saw. I was also there in winter. Did see a massive centipede, as well as many large true spiders. The huntsman were incredible. I know this sounds horrible, but I had to legitimately focus on not spending too much time photographing inverts and plants... I'd have been totally lost in my camera, vs. lost in the wonderful place that is Madagascar. Having recently refound my passion for invertebrates, particularly arachnids, I assure you all when I go back I will be photographing any and all inverts.
